When I did my round up last year I started off talking about how much the covid pandemic had affected us personally, from a business perspective, and the effect on those around us. I hardly expected that 2021 we would still be suffering quite so much for the same reason.

Personally I have spent a long time finding what I wanted to do in life. It’s been a long journey and I have gained invaluable skills and experience. However, I really wish I’d had somebody who could have directed me better when I was younger. So now I want to be able to do for others something that wasn’t available to me - to be able to help people find their career paths and open up their horizons.

Two of my very best friends are people I worked with in a café when I was 13 years old. When I took a gap year I worked in the same cafe; when I was at uni, I came home at weekends to work there and when I was lost and confused after university I worked there. It was my stability for many years. So I never underestimate what having a safe, secure, friendly and healthy workplace can do for somebody.

2020 - an extraordinary for everyone. I can’t imagine anyone has escaped the effects of the pandemic this year. Despite helping others create and work on their 5 Year Plans, I have had to change my own plans several times this year as a result of different factors.
