My name is Gillian Cramb and I manage C&E HR Consultancy from my new base in the South of France.
I began my career as a Language Teacher and managed several language schools of my own before progressing into the world of Training and Development.
After completing my MBA in 2015 I realised that I had the ability and passion for both Strategic Management and Organisational Development. In fact, so much so that I earned the title of Head of People Transformation in the organization I was working for. This lead to the creation of a large Learning & Organisational Development Department, comprising Training & Development, Trade Skills, Executive Learning & Development, Organisational Design & Development and Corporate Social Responsibility. This ultimately led to additional responsibility and promotion to the position of Director.
Personally, and probably like many other people, I spent a long time finding out what I wanted to do in life. It’s been a long journey but one in which I have gained invaluable skills and experience. However, with hindsight I wish there had been somebody there who could have guided me better when I was younger. That’s why I want to be able to do for others what I never had available to me - to be able to help people find their career paths and help them open up their horizons. This is where the concept of C&E came from.
I love what I do and I especially love being able to deliver on a strategy by ensuring that our teams have the right talent in place to do so. However, what I have discovered is twofold: that companies struggle to understand how to put the right talent in the right places, and that employees often find themselves incapable of climbing the career ladder for a variety of reasons. And this is why our services can have a beneficial impact on you and your organization.
